Northwest Oakville
Bronte Creek
This neighbourhood is bordered by Bronte Road to the east, Dundas Road to the north, Uppermiddle Road to the south and Bronte Creek Provincial Park to the west. Real Estate in Bronte Creek was developed by Monarch Corp. and includes a number of reputable builders such as Monarch Homes, Fernbrook Homes, Branthaven Homes, Mattamy Homes, Balantry Homes and Legend Creek. Started in 2003 and nearing completion, the resale real estate market may be the only way in. Homes for sale range in price from $270,000 for a two bedroom back to back freehold town up to $1,500,000 for over 4000 sq/ft backing onto to forest and/or Bronte Creek Provincial park.
Westmount
Located north of Uppermiddle Road, south of Dundas Street, east of Bronte and west of Third Line. This neighbourhood has housing that is perfect for young families with homes ranging from $300,000 to just over $1,000,000. This subdivision was started in the late 1990's and there are still pockets being developed. There are 100's of KM of trails, ample parks and schools and an easy commute to most of the GTA from the 407, QEW or 403 Highways.
West Oak Trails
West Oak Trails is a very popular area of Oakville for young families. It is located north of Uppermiddle, east of Third Line, south of Dundas Street and west of the 16 Mile Creek. Started in the early to mid 90's and completed in recent years, it has a mature feeling with established neighbourhoods and growing trees. It also offers a number of great schools, parks, trails and ponds. The area features Oakvilles first indoor soccer complex.
Glen Abbey
Glen Abbey is located north of the QEW, south of Uppermiddle, west of the 16 Mile Creek and east of Bronte Road. Started in the early 1980's and basically completed by the mid 1990's (with exception of a couple of small pockets), it is a very mature neighbourhood offering large detached homes. The are a number of pockets of townhouses and condo apartments as well. The area boosts exceptional schools, 100's of KM of trails, a number of community plazas, churchs and parks.
North Central Oakville
River Oaks/Oak Park
The River Oaks area is bordered by the 16 mile creek to the west, Upper Middle Road to the south, Dundas Street to the north and Trafalgar to the east. Homes for sale in River Oaks range from the low $200's for a condo townhouse or apartment to over $2,000,000 for homes backing onto the 16 Mile Creek. The core of River Oaks was developed in the 1980's and newer developments surround the perimeter. Within River Oaks is the ongoing development of Oak Park, primarily developed by Tribute Communities which includes a number of mid-rise condos, stacked towns and towns.
College Park
College Park is the area south of Upper Middle, east of the 16 Mile Creek, north of the QEW and west of Trafalgar. Real estate in this mature area was primarily developed in the 60's & 70's. It's the site of the prestigious Oakville Golf Club and Oakville Place Mall. Many residents and builders have started renovating and/or knocking down and rebuilding homes in pockets throughout College Park.
Northeast Oakville
Joshua Creek
Joshua Creek is one of the most affluent neighbourhoods in Canada and boasts the highest average household income country wide. The area is located south of Dundas Street, east of 8th Line, north of Upper Middle Rd. and west of 9th Line. Housing development was started in the mid 90's and there are a few small pockets of homes still being built. The price ranges for real estate in this area of Oakville range from the mid $400's for a town home to over $1,500,000. There are ample trails, parks and some of Oakville’s best public schools.
Wedgewood Creek
Located north of Upper Middle Road, south of Dundas Street, east of Trafalgar and west of 8th. This neighbourhood was started in the mid to late 1980's and has a number of streets that were completed in the last few years. Wedgewood Creek is perfect for commuters with excellent proximity to all major highways and the Oakville GO Station. The area is bordered by a number of plazas and major retailers. Homes for sale in Wedgewood Creek range from the low $300,000's to approximately $800,000.
Falgarwood
Falgarwood is a mature area with most of the homes up to 50 years old. The streets are tree lined and the lots are generously sized for the most part. The real estate in this area of Oakville includes some affordable housing, with condo towns in the $200's and detached homes starting in the $300's. Falgarwood is a great location for commuters with the QEW nearby and the Oakville GO Station a quick drive.
Bronte
Bronte is the area south of Rebecca Street, west of Third Line and east of Shell Park. This area features the trendy Bronte Village with a number of shops, restaurants, trails, parks, marinas and Bronte Harbour. This mature area of Oakville has seen a large amount of investment over the last number of years and has become a sought after area of Oakville. Southwest Oakville
Lakeshore Woods
Located in the southwest corner of Oakville, Lakeshore Woods is bordered by Burloak Drive to the west, Rebecca Street to the north and Shell Park to east. This is a nearly new area of Oakville real estate developed on land previously belonging to Shell Park by Nation Homes, Rosehaven Homes and Aspenridge Homes. Homes range from the low $400’s for a freehold townhouse to over $1,000,000 for a detached home on Lakeshore Road overlooking the lake.
West Oakville
West Oakville is a mature area built primarily in the 60’s & 70’s and features many bungalows, side and back split home designs. The area is located south of Speers Road, east of Bronte Road, north of Rebecca Street and west of Dorval Drive. The streets are tree lined and the lots are spacious. There are a number of pockets being rejuvenated with knock downs or renovations. West Oakville real estate prices generally range between $350,000 & $500,000.
Coronation Park (Southwest)
This area is located south of Rebecca Street, west of 3rd Line and west of Dorval Drive. This area is sometimes referred to as the “New South East” and boasts custom built homes, Cornation Park, mature trees and the shores of Lake Ontario. Most of the lots are 75’ x 150’ and perfect for custom building your dream home. Prices for real estate in this area generally start around $600,000 to multi-millions.
